Real Estate and Personal Property Tax

What are the Due Dates?
1st quarter is due 8/1
2nd quarter is due 11/1
3rd quarter is due 2/1
4th quarter is due 5/1

What happens if I pay my bill late?
Interest of 14% per annum will start accruing at the close of business on the due date.  Under state law, Chapter 60, Section 3, failure to receive a bill does not affect the validity of the tax or any interest or fines incurred due to late payment(s).  It is the responsibility of the taxpayer to secure his/her tax bill when one is not received.

What if I do not receive a bill?
You can request a statement by calling the Treasurer/Collector's office at (781)393-2550 or by e-mail at collector@medford.org.

New Owner, Change of Name and/or Mailing Address?
Please inform the Assessors office at (781)393-2435 or by e-mail at assessors@medford.org.
All change of names and addresses for Real and Personal Property are done by the Assessors office.  

I need a copy of my payment history?
Send request with a self addressed stamped envelope to the Treasurer/Collectors Office, 85 GP Hassett Drive, Medford, MA 02155 or by e-mail at collector@medford.org.
