City Council to discuss capital improvement projects
The Medford City Council will review proposals for several capital improvement projects on Tuesday, January 10.  

The largest project is $3.3 million to upgrade the school district's technology. They will also consider an $860,000 loan for the construction of a turf field at Hormel Stadium; the acceptance of a $500,000 grant from the Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs to help cover the cost of the field; $300,000 to upgrade the city’s fire alarm system; $500,000 for sidewalk improvements; and $250,000 to plan for a new police headquarters.

Mayor Michael McGlynn spoke about the need for these projects in his inaugural address last week.

Tuesday, January 10 is the first meeting of the Council to discuss the capital improvement projects.  The Council will meet in a Committee of the Whole at 5:30pm in Room 207 at Medford City Hall to discuss the above-mentioned projects.  

Their regular meeting begins at 7:00pm and will be held in the Council Chambers.
