The Council is currently seeking volunteers in the following areas:
Friend-to-Friend Program, which matches homebound seniors with volunteer visitors with like interests;
and the
Gap Program, which provides occasional errand and other types of services to local older adults in need of temporary assistance: for example, a ride to a doctor, an escort to an appointment, or grocery shopping for a temporarily homebound person.
We are also seeking young residents who would be willing to shovel snow and/or leaves for local senior citizens. Talk to your school or church/house of worship counselor about serving elders while meeting your public service requirements.
