The management of all trust funds given or bequeathed for the benefit of the city or the inhabitants of the city, unless the donor making the gift or bequest shall otherwise provide, shall be under the management and control of a board of commissioners of trust funds, consisting of three persons, who shall be appointed, and act under the provisions of M.G.L.A. c. 41, §§ 45--47.
